This one started life as something else entirely, I pulled the wire from the bin almost in the shape its in now. I had to cut a branch off as you can see because I couldn't repair the damage. But I think it looks quite nice especially the rock that its mounted to. Special thanks goes to my daughter, as she suggested both the tree and the rock it should marry to.

This is one of my favourites. The tree looks stunted and twisted, as though its had to struggle to survive growing from the ironstone its rooted in.

Got some more photos in the pipeline and its been suggested to me that I try to sell them. When I get the time, I will upload more pictures here.
In the meantime I have put some on Ebay to see what happens. Look for user : wiretrees, under Arts,self-representing. There are lots of others to choose from and maybe its not the best place for me to be, but I don't have a website and I'm not even sure what to charge. I do know what I need to charge so that I can keep making these, so we shall see. Please feel free to leave comments or feedback.

Here's some more. The bottom one is made with .2mm wire whereas most of my others are .5mm.
If I can improve my photography skills I have more trees to include here.

As you can see, my photography skills are really poor, as those images really don't show the trees at their best.

My Wire Trees

So, i started making wire trees for fun a few months ago after being made redundant last summer. This blog is my attempt to show what i have made so far. And since i have never blogged before, this is me seeing how its done.
